It's Time to Go Shopping.
We received a check in the mail to replace all of our ruined, stinky, moldy stuff. I am extremely excited. I am going to be doing most of my shopping online, because, let's be honest, shopping with a 9 month old baby and a 2.5 year old does not qualify as anything but insane. The good thing about online shopping is getting packages in the mail. Who doesn't LOVE getting packages in the mail? I think that it is one of the best things in the world. In fact, my second favorite day of the week (Thursday) is based on the mail day in one of the places I lived as a teenager. (My first favorite day of the week is Tuesday which was the day I was born, in case you were wondering.) Oh, the excitement. Oh the joy. Oh the pretty things that I want to buy...

ReplyDeleteOooo! Shopping to replace damaged items - that's the best kind of shopping there is, for it is pure shopping with no guilt at all!

I've looked through last month's posts about the damaged/black mold items of yours but I'm not smart enough to figure out the story about what actually *happened.*

yes, I too would like to hear lessons learned. After all, your shipment was not moving very far....was there something you could have done differently in preparing for packout? I've seen people recommend keeping shoes & leather purses in pillowcases, shoeboxes etc to keep them from sticking together..anyway I'd love to hear any advice.

ReplyDeleteyeah for shopping! However it's done, that's exciting! And I agree - online is way more fun than with two kids. Hope you find some good stuff.
