We're still here. Even though I wasn't sure we would be.
Ben has been out of town for two weeks, and to be honest, I didn't know how it would go. The last time Ben left for more than a day or two Thomas was a new baby and Jack was two. So it has been awhile. And we both know the boys behave better for Ben than they do for me. I was nervous at how these two weeks would go.
Surprisingly well, if you want to know (and even if you don't). The boys have been well behaved. Getting ready for school in the mornings and getting ready for bedtime has gone mostly smoothly, and things are good. Hooray.
So here are a few pictures of our adventures.
Thomas didn't have time for a spoon or something to put it on, just fingers. And his shirt as a napkin.
Jack and Thomas lifting "weights". I don't know where Jack came up with this, but I thought it was totally cute! Now when we see Uncle Allen this summer, they will be able to work put together. :)
Thomas doesn't take naps, but sometimes he will fall asleep relaxing on the floor, and eating crackers.
I have made good use of my movie selection.
Some Thai food after the kids went to bed. A perfect treat.
An afternoon at the pool.
I don't know if she reads this blog, but our friend "A" and her husband "D" had an extra pizza and gave it to us for lunch! It made our afternoon at the pool perfect! Thank you.
A dead Cockroach. How did it turn over after it died? I'm really curious.
There you have it. I hope you all have a great weekend.
I'm glad things went well and everyone survived! I love your movie choices and I wish I could have watched them with you and helped you eat the Thai food!
ReplyDeleteIt can be kind of nice having full control over things, but I am sure you were very ready for Ben to be home! Sounds like a good time!
ReplyDeleteJust so you know, I love reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteI am glad everyone survived. I love you Emily, and I love your blog. I love how honest and real you are. Your family is adorable. Hugs to all of you from Green Bay.
