Raw Talent.

From an early age, I knew that I was bound for fame and fortune.  I was going to be a singer/dancer.  One of the first memories I have of my greatness was when I was about ten years old, singing in the back of the car.  The Little Mermaid soundtrack was on, and I was belting it out.  I told everyone in the car, "I'm really good at singing this song.  I sound just like Ariel".  My mom laughed.  I wondered why she laughed, but didn't ask because the next song had already started.  I remember making up dances and singing with my sister Jodie, my aunt Krystal, and whatever friend was over, so that we could be on Star Search or Mickey Mouse Club.

Fame and fortune my friends, fame and fortune.

Last night I was in the car by myself, singing as loudly as I could, and I finally came to the realization that I can't sing.  Sad, huh?  I realized that my voice is really not very good, and I can't really carry a tune to save my life.  All those times singing Happy Birthday, thinking that it was everyone else off key, or whatever it is that makes a song sound funny, I think it might have been me.

Now I need to find another way to fame and fortune.

I'm thinking reality T.V.

SAD DAY!!! I always wanted to be a famous singer too but realized I don't ever stand a chance! Let me know how reality TV goes. Maybe I will follow in your footsteps if it brings you fame and fortune :)

Say it isn't so!!!! You were the lead singer - if you don't have it, then the rest of us certainly don't! I'm going to continue to believe that if we had been 'found' we totally would have been on Star Search.

I was getting ready to say "At least you didn't have to appear on a reality TV show to learn of your limitations," but I guess you aren't out of the woods entirely.

Em I could have written this post myself. Its embarrassing to think I have actually had solos at church and stuff. Ick...it wasn't pretty at ALL. I just don't have it.
Reality TV could be a great solution to earning the fame and fortune you desire!
You should just have between 6 to 8 children at one time and you'll be set!!!
Or perhaps move back to Jersey and get yourself dolled up to be a Real Housewife!

In tune, outta tune ... is it you? Or everyone else? ;) I just wish I could remember lyrics when I'm singing along to songs I've heard many, many times before!

When I was 16, my older sister told me that I should NEVER sing out loud in public.
