Sunday we were able to spend time with Ben's dad and his wife, Lani. It was great to see them, and they brought us some yummy treats- homemade jams, juices, canned peaches and pears. Have you ever had fresh grape juice? With a little sparking water or sparkling apple juice? It is AWESOME!
And my mom and brother are going to come stay with the kids so we can go out of town. I mean really-perhaps we should look into San Diego as our next assignment. How would that be?
What would life be like without family? Okay, maybe that question should remain unanswered...
P.S. We really do love visitors.

You lucky girl! When we had our bids narrowed down to Sudan and Guinea, my mom said to me "Let me know where you end up going so I know where NOT to come visit you." (Not that I blame her)
Oh yum...grapple juice is my favorite! (Although I've never tried it with fizz. Sounds delicious!)
when we were in Utah, we were the bed and breakfast. I miss it. I love having family visit me. You are lucky.
Yay for family! So happy that you're having people visit you... isn't it fun?
We've always been far away and family is a rare treat. We had one of my husband's cousins visit this summer, and we tried to spoil her rotten... hoping she'll go home and encourage others to come out too! (also jealous of the homemade goodies, my dad made the best chili sauce and salsas!)
I'm glad that we could visit. We had a great time. Enjoy the treats.
Oh, those look absolutely yummy!!!! How great that you can have visitors and that they bring you treats!!!
I love homemade jam. I love it when other people give it to me since I don't make any.
Oh wow that looks awesome! I wish I had hot canning skills like that!
