We were able to venture to the Zoo the other day, and it was an experience.
The weather was perfect. It is the first day that when we walked out the door, we were not hit by a wall of heat. It was hot, but not HOT. That was nice. It rained for a moment (which is why Jack is holding the umbrella), but other than that, the weather was great. It was small enough that we were able to see most (if not all) of the animals.
We were able to see some bunnies in a crate, which I am not sure were food for some of the larger animals, or a new display...
Jack was the main photographer, which I think helped keep him entertained. Thomas' favorite part was the sea lion show, which we don't have a picture of, sorry. The elephant show was pretty entertaining, although we had the rear view, and a few of the elephants relieved themselves, much to the disgust and wonder to some of the kids we were with. The elephant show somewhat reminded me of the circus...well kind of.
It was a fun day, and both of the boys slept REALLY well, which makes me happy.
So, maybe we will have to do it again.

Looks like a fun zoo! Jack is a great photographer. It was a great idea to let him take the pictures. Hopefully you will get to go again, and also that the bunnies will still be there. Sad! LOL
Love the pic of the boys with the umbrella and the giraffes in the background!
What a great outing!! Glad you got to go.
I love zoos!
