Birthday wish comes true.

I picked up the boys today.  They have just spent the last week with my mom.   That's right, my mom took the boys for an entire week, and they all lived to tell the tale.  Even better, Ben and I had an amazing week together, without the children.

Ben and I started our week by meeting up with Chris and Monica in Las Vegas for a few days.  We have done Vegas many times, but these were the highlights.


When walking out of the Paris Casino, I saw some cupcakes in the Valet booth.  I asked them where they bought them.  They described in detail where I could find them, and then one of them asked me if I wanted one.  Umm...Yes.  It was so good.

 It wasn't even ruined by the fact that five minutes earlier, I had eaten this:

I pretty much ate desserts the entire time.  What happens in Vegas, right?




This is the first time we have ever taken a picture in front of the VEGAS sign.

 

After we took our pictures, we met this "Junior Reporter" from Fox News.  He was doing a story comparing Las Vegas to Atlantic City.  My moment to shine, I must say.  I didn't get to see the final product, but I don't care, I just love that I was interviewed.

Thanks Chris and Monica for another fabulous trip to Vegas.  It keeps getting better and better.  I am grateful we have moved on from the HoJo, but anywhere we stay, it will still be fun.  

It was an amazing trip, and I am so grateful to my mom for watching the boys.  It was the PERFECT birthday gift!

Then and Now.

We went to Vegas last weekend.  Ben and I love Vegas.  We are not gamblers or partakers of most of the vices available, but there are so many fun things to do. 

We have been to Vegas several times, and I thought it would be fun to compare our previous trips to this one.

First up is my friend Lindsey.  The last time I saw her was several years ago.  This first picture was taken May 2005.  The second picture was taken in a Wal-mart in Henderson this weekend.  I couldn't believe it.  We had been out of contact, and just happened to be in the same place at the same time.  AWESOME!

Second, we have the fish tank outside of the Cheesecake Factory in the Ceasars Casino. The first picture was taken on our honeymoon.  May 2005.



This picture was taken on our "babymoon" before Jack was born (May 2007), in front of New York, New York Casino.

This picture was also taken May 2007. I was eight months pregnant and eating a lot (I called it "water weight" at the time).  This is at the Rainforest Cafe in the MGM Casino.  The other pictures are also at the Rainforest Cafe- Jack and Thomas did not like the gorillas that we were sitting by.

 

 Vegas was awesome.  The boys were great, the weather was perfect and we were able to see Chris and Monica to celebrate Chris' birthday!

Oh, and I was able to go shopping.  LOVED IT!!!
