Scranton, PA

This weekend we wanted to get away, and decided on Scranton, PA. Why Scranton, you may ask. For a few reasons, first, they have a minor league baseball team that had a game this weekend. Second, it is only an hour and a half away. Third, they have a Wegmans (for me, this was the determining factor).

Unfortunately, in true Whitaker tradition, it rained the entire weekend. Not just rain, but severe thunderstorms, so we were not able to make it to the game. However, to make up for this loss, we spent some quality time at Wegmans. What is Wegmans? Only the best grocery store I have ever been to. I first went to Wegmans on my mission, and just fell in love. (I have always had a thing for grocery stores, but this one sealed the deal.) They have awesome produce, amazing selection of cheeses, and just about anything you could ever want from a grocery store. Most Wegmans also have a cafe section with really yummy food, and really excellent sandwiches. So we had Wegmans sandwiches for dinner and it was awesome.

Okay, so Wegmans really was the highlight for me, and if you ever have a chance to go, you will understand why.

We also spent a lot of time in the hotel. Jack had a great time, as you can see.

It was nice to get away for a night in a new city. We had a good time. By the way-there was no listing for Dunder Mifflin.

Jer and I love Wegmans too! Anytime we go up to Palmyra we always stop there. But hey if you are ever in Hackensack they just built a HUGE Whole Foods which is pretty dang amazing too. No like really really amazing. Like I'm not kidding when I say you need to go:) Glad the hotel bathroom was a blast!:)

Justin and I are laughing at those pics! What a fun weekend and Jack sure is causing trouble! He is going to teach his baby brother all his neato tricks!
We are getting a Wegmens here in Fredericksburg on June 19. It's all the town talks about anymore. All the more reason for you to come pay us a visit!
