Oh to Read.

I have been reading a lot lately. It has been really great for me. I love turning off the TV, shutting the laptop, and being lost in my own imagination. If there is one thing in my life that I would have to describe as a passion, {besides my beautiful family} it would be reading. I love to read. It is where I go to find another world, to escape into make-believe. I read an entire book on Friday. It was called Sarah’s Key, by Tatiana de Rosnay. During naptime and after the kids were asleep, I read and read. It was one of the most moving books I have ever read. The word enjoy would not adequately describe this book, I was on the verge of tears the entire book. I was drawn in by the struggle of a little girl; I was lured by the connections in life that give us meaning. It was magical.
I LOVE IT!!
I am grateful that I know how to read. What a blessing.

I loved Sarah's Key and The Time Travelers Wife! There is really nothing better then curling up with a good book. Have you read The Poisonwood Bible?

Tracy, yes, I loved Poisonwood Bible. It is one of my favorites. After I read it, I wanted to move to Africa.

I just finished this book called "Boy's Life" by Robert McCammon. It takes me a long time to get through a book since I have limited time to read. Its a long book to read, but very worth the time!

So I was at BJs last night shopping and I saw Sarah's Key. I NEVER buy books but since you gave it such a rave review I bought it! I started last night and read for a long time. Then picked it up again when I was up for 2 hours in the middle of the night. I'm already halfway into it and dieing to pick it back up! Thanks for the recommendation. I think I should just buy books more. I never get to the library.

Emily, I know what you mean. I have a hard time buying books, because going to the library is free. I have been thinking that it would be good to have a book exchange with friends, so you don't have to buy a book just read it once.
I am glad you are enjoying Sarah's Key. It is a fast read, huh? I am looking into the book you recommended. Thanks. If you have any more, let me know.

Just finished it! LOVED it! WOW I had never heard of this event and I toured in Paris for an entire month. So devastating! I didn't want the book to end though.
Very touching. I am really enjoying reading again. I've let myself get so distracted with other things that I forgot how much I love to read.
