Yesterday was a big day for me. I have been wanting to change my hair for awhile.
It all started when I saw this picture in a magazine. As soon as I saw it, I wanted to be a red head.
Then I was looking through some red hair pictures, and found this, and immediately wanted to cut my hair short.
I took both of these pictures to the hair salon.
And started out like this:
And ended up like this.
It isn't exactly what I was looking for, but I mostly like it. I have to figure out how to style it. Any ideas? Product recommendations?

When my hair was that long (ha!), I am pretty sure I used a volumizing foam on the roots and a round brush to give the crown and bangs a little shape, but I mostly just used my fingers to style. Pomade is helpful to smooth down the strays a bit (Kerastase Homme Capital Force and Shu Uemura are my favorites because they smell delightful). Those beach salt sprays are nice to give it a bit of texture too. These days I mostly just style with my fingers, and finish it with a little hairspray. Hope this helps!
Gorgeous!!! The style and color are perfect on you. I just died my hair red too and love it. Looks like red-heads have all the fun. :)
You look GREAT! Love the new 'do on you!
i love it. I have been thinking about a change too. Because of my coloring (olive) red doesn't suit me but maybe light brown :)
You could seriously put a bag on your head and you'd STILL be gorgeous!
Love the color. Love your style. I agree with Anne. When I had short hair like that, I used a lot of product to help separate the ends ... one of my favorites being Kiehls With Silk Groom. And Aveda Self Control Pomade stick.
Can't wait to see all the fun things you do with your hair!
i like it! I've never colored my hair, and I've only cut it above shoulder length once and swore never to do it again... Maybe, because of you, I will re-think short. :)
love it!!!! I hope I can be brave one day and chop mine. I really want to ,but am afraid I won't be as cute as you!!
That's a cute hairstyle! Perfect for Spring and Summer. I wish I can color my hair red, but alas, I'm asian, and well, I know for a fact it will not suit me.
As for styling products, I would suggest Bumble and Bumble wax (the one int he red jar). Won't leave a sticky residue, a little goes a long way, and it helps to shape your hair in anyway you want, especially when you want to piece it (like the second picture you posted that you found).
this haircut totally fits you! did you have any post cut anxiety? i'd love to go this short but I don't know if i'm brave enough!
LOVE IT!!! Such a cute look on you!
